Underline links on web pages: This setting enables link underlining. Any clickable link will be underlined, which can make them easier to find on some web pages.

Highlight links when clicked: These setting will make a link change colors when you click on it. If this is distracting, feel free to turn it off.

Start drawing web pages before they are entirely loaded: If checked, a web page will be shown as it loads. If unchecked, a page will only be displayed after all elements have loaded. Checking this box can make a page readable faster, at the expense of the layout sometimes look odd.

In order for a downloaded file to be opened using an application in the list, its file type needs to be assigned to the correct application at the system level.

If no encoding is given, treat documents as...: This setting defines the default language set that BumperCar tries to read web pages as. Because there are many different ways to represent special characters such as accents and asian characters, there are many different ways to encode them. This will let you select a default encoding - useful for making sure web pages are attempted to be read in the encoding most suitable for you.

Submit forms using character encoding: This setting defines the default language set that BumperCar tries to send form data as. Much like incoming web pages described for the last setting, data you submit in forms must be encoded into a certain character set. If you are submitting using a particular character set, you may wish to set an outgoing encoding as well. Normally, you can just leave this as "Same as Incoming" and you should have no problems.
